Protecting Mashpee’s Ponds Presentation

On April 15th, Mashpee Department of Natural Resources hosted a comprehensive presentation on Protecting Mashpee/s Ponds. The meeting addressed issues and strategies with regard to four of Mashpee’s ponds – Ashumet, Johns, Mashpee-Wakeby, and Santuit. Historical pond sampling data were shared, mitigation efforts were discussed, and ways that each individual can help were presented. Possible future town bylaw changes were also outlined as additional ways for the town to help protect our ponds and waterways in the future.
