Please Join us on Monday October 10th, 2022 in a mission to empower wildlife and humans to thrive! The Walk for the Wild (WFTW) challenge is to get people moving a distance of 5K in nature and to raise funds to support the Friends of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge.
- Free t-shirts will be provided to a limited number of early registrants, thanks to our local sponsor, Cape Cod 5.
Walk for the Wild is a time to celebrate our commitment to deepening human connections with nature and to protect the thriving ecosystems on which we depend. The national goal is to get thousands of people moving a distance of 5K on behalf of national wildlife refuges during National Wildlife Refuge Week, and grow the capacity of the nonprofits that support the National Wildlife Refuge System.
Your participation in the Walk for the Wild 5K challenge during National Wildlife Refuge Week, October 8th-15th demonstrates that wildlife refuges are an essential part of our system of public lands.
