Yesterday’s MLK Day of Service event in Hyannis was a success! We got a ton of donations which we brought to Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC) and Saint Joseph’s House after the event. In the afternoon, we hosted our community lunch and informational resource fair, which brought in many members of the local community. We had several excellent volunteers, including a group from Mass Maritime who helped serve lunch. Thank you to Nancy Church and Lucinda Keith of the Friends of Mashpee NWR for volunteering in the morning! Also, thank you AmeriCorps Cape Cod members and staff! Overall, we are glad that we could help the community in this way.
