Mashpee Interpretive Nature Tours – South Cape Beach State Park
Enjoy a walk along the beautiful and diverse hike along the Dead Neck trail along the barrier beach system at South Cape Beach State Park.
Directions to South Cape Beach: from the Mashpee Rotary, take Great Neck Road South to Great Oak Rd. Follow Great Oak Road to the State Park sign and turn left onto Park. Park at the Bayberry parking lot located on the right, just before the Town parking area.
The Mashpee Conservation Department is continuing its schedule of free Naturalist-guided tours of Mashpee’s unique and diverse conservation areas. Tours last for an average of 1 to 2 hours but may be longer or shorter, depending on the wishes of the participants. All ages are invited and children are encouraged to come. Many nature programs are designed for children
and their families. Further information can be obtained from the Mashpee Conservation Department at 539-1400, ext. 8540, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Guide maps for many conservation areas are available at the Conservation Department at the Mashpee Town Hall. Tours may be cancelled in the event of stormy weather.
