Mashpee Interpretive Nature Tours – Fitch Property – Mashpee River Woodlands
Explore the beautiful Fitch Property, and enjoy a natural history outing adjacent to the Mashpee River. Meet at 233 Meetinghouse Road. Directions to the Fitch Property: From the Mashpee Rotary, take Great Neck Road North. Turn right onto Meetinghouse Road. Parking lot is on the right.
The Mashpee Conservation Department is continuing its schedule of free Naturalist-guided tours of Mashpee’s unique and diverse conservation areas. Tours last for an average of 1 to 2 hours but may be longer or shorter, depending on the wishes of the participants. All ages are invited and children are encouraged to come. Many nature programs are designed for children
and their families. Further information can be obtained from the Mashpee Conservation Department at 539-1400, ext. 8540, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Guide maps for many conservation areas are available at the Conservation Department at the Mashpee Town Hall. Tours may be cancelled in the event of stormy weather.
