Mashpee Interpretive Nature Tours – Pickerel Cove Conservation Area
Take a hike through pollinator gardens, fields and beautiful pine/oak woodlands at the Pickerel Cove Conservation Area. Directions: from the Mashpee Rotary, take Great Neck Road North. Take a left onto Route 130. Travel approximately 2 miles on Route 130. Drive past Pickerel Cove Road, which will be on your right. The Pickerel Cove Conservation Area sign and parking lot will be on your right.
The Mashpee Conservation Department is continuing its schedule of free Naturalist-guided tours of Mashpee’s unique and diverse conservation areas. Tours last for an average of 1 to 2 hours but may be longer or shorter, depending on the wishes of the participants. All ages are invited and children are encouraged to come. Many nature programs are designed for children
and their families. Further information can be obtained from the Mashpee Conservation Department at 539-1400, ext. 8540, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Guide maps for many conservation areas are available at the Conservation Department at the Mashpee Town Hall. Tours may be cancelled in the event of stormy weather.
